Sat 5 April-Gordon Leask Memorial Cup - Group 1 Mintlaw Fc faced Bellslea in their first game of the season and it was a good one for the home side running out winners by the odd goal in three. The Mintlaw goals came from Craig Reid and Stuart Park.
In another Group 1 game Mormond Thistle faced Longside Thistle and it ended with a win for the visitors by 4 goals to 2. Longside scorers were Kenny Watson 2, Connor Wilson and Scott McSeveney with one each and for the home side it was Robbie Wilkinson and Neil Thomson.
Group 2 Rosehearty Thistle kicked of their season with a home tie against Balmoor and it ended with a narrow 2-1 win for the visitors. The winning goals came from Mark Walker with a penalty and a free kick from Michael Rhynd and replying for the home side was Graeme Cairns.
New Deer faced St Combs in a Group 2 game and it ended with the away side winning by scoring 2 goals without reply., The home side did have a chance to take the lead when they were awarded a penalty which Mark Simpson took but Mark Gordon made a fine save and then Alan Geddes opened the scoring with a shot from 20 yards and then shortly after John Smith doubled the away side lead.
Group 3 Clinton Thistle face Cuminestown and the home side won comfortably by 5 goals. Scorers were Simon Whyte 2, and one a piece from Daniel Smith, Darren Batty and Willie Noble, the visitors had to play most of the game with 10 men after their Goalkeeper was red carded inside the first 5 minutes.
In the other game in Group 3 game provided a close affair between Peterhead United and Ardallie. The away side were the better side in the first half and lead by 2 goals at half time, both of which were scored by Grant Elrick. The home side pulled a goal back a minute into the second half through Ewan McLeman.
Group 4 Faithlie United faced Panasonic from Peterhead in the first Group 4 game and in another close game the visitors edged out the winners by the odd goal in 3. Panasonic scorers were Duncan and Booth and it was Sandison for the home side.
Methlick faced Buchanhaven Fc in another group 4 game and this one ended with a 4 goals to 1 win for the home side. The winning goals came from Craig Troup with a brace and the others came from Kevin Taylor and Stuart Skene and for the visitors was Adam Kendall.
SoccerWorld Scotland Division 2 The game saw Invercairn face Elizabethan Link Up and it was the home side that took the lead with a goal from James Cardno but the visitors hit back with a brilliant strike from Craig Whylie then the same player won the match with a strike from 35 yards. Both teams hit the woodwork a few times throughout the game.
10.04.14 Gordon Leask Memorial Cup Group 1 Longside Thistle entertained Bellslea in a Group match and it ended with the away side winning by scoring 3 goals without reply. Scorers for Bellslea were Stuart Whyte, Arron Gall and Daryl Allan.
In another Group 1 match Mintlaw Fc travelled to face Elizabethan Link Up and the away side took a 3 goal lead with goals from Mark Farman, Stuart Park and Martin Smith but the home side hit back with goals from Andy McKay and John MacKinnon but couldn’t find an equaliser leaving Mintlaw with 2 fine wins in the group.
Group 2 Invercairn faced neighbours St Combs and it was a goalless first half but the visitors took the lead 2 minutes into the second half with a goal from Adam Ritchie then four minutes later the away side doubled their lead when Colin Hendry fired in. The home side pulled one goal back through Matthew West with 15 minutes remaining but the away side held on to get the win.
Group 3 Cuminestown faced Peterhead United and both teams get off the mark in Group 3 with the match ending in a 2 all draw. Scoring for the home side was Fraser Williamson and David Kran and for the visitors was Michael Ure and Ewan McLeman.
Group 4 Panasonic faced Methlick in a Group 4 game and this was a close affair with the home side making it 2 wins out of 2 after they won with the only goal of the game coming from Jake Leslie on 61 minutes.
Buchanhaven Fc faced Faithlie United and it ended with a comfortable win for the away side winning by 6 goals to 1. Scorers for Faithlie were Fraser Anderson, Matthew Garden, Martin Buchan, Chris Grieve, Mark White and Lee Lawrence and replying for the home side was a free kick from his own half by Wayne Simpson.
12.04.14 SoccerWorld Scotland Division 2 Mormond Thistle entertained Rosehearty Thistle in a league game and
At one stage it was 2 all but in the second half Rosehearty with the wind behind them went goal crazy and ran out comfortable winners y 11 goals to 2. Scorers for the away side were Marc McLaren and Neil Holland both netting hatricks. Ryan Mac Donnell with a brace and one a piece from, Josh Tomlinson, David Anderson and Ryan Cook and for the home side were Jake Sherwood and Neil Thomson.
Scottish Cup Semi Final Balmoor faced The Bank from Alloa for a place in the Final. The match kicked of in blustery conditions, Bank were the better team in the first 10 minutes creating 2 chances but no goals. The home side’s Waddell headed wide after 15 minutes the away keeper made a fine save AJ Buchan shot from 25 yards went well over the bar. The Bank took the lead on 30 minutes from the penalty after the home side keeper fouled inside the box. On 40 minutes Balmoor drew level when a cross from Waddell was deflected into his own et by a Bank defender. Into the second half and the Bank took the lead on 50 minutes when a looping header from the edge of the box was misjudged by Alexander in the home goal who let it go under the bar. Bank made it 3-1 on the hour mark with a good finish from the edge of the box. Balmoor pushed forward in the last 15 minutes and pulled a goal back on the 90 minute mark through Walker but Bank held on to reach the Final.
18.04.14 Gordon Leask Memorial Cup Group 1 Elizabethan Link Up faced Longside Thistle and it was the visitors that had the better of the first half and Longside’s Murphy came closest to opening the scoring when his shot hit the inside of the post and back out. The first half ended goalless. The home side took more control in the second half and took the lead on 55 minutes with a goal from Craig Whylie. Poor decision by McKay when through on goals he choose to play a ball across goal rather than shoot and the chance was wasted. They could have gone on to score a few more except for a string of fine saves from Jack Turriff in the visitor’s goal.
Bellslea entertained Mormond Thistle and the home side went on to win by three goals to one. Scorers for the home side was Liam Rollo with a brace and the other came from Jonathon Garden and replying for the visitors was Mark Urquhart.
Group 2 Invercairn had home advantage over New Deer and the match ended with the visitors winning by 5 goals to 1, Scorers for New Deer were Ryan Norrie, Barry Crighton, Willie Robbie, Nicholas Shewan and Jay Duncan, consolation goal for the home side was scored by
In another Group 2 match St Combs faced Rosehearty Thistle and it was all square at half time with both teams scoring one each but the visitors went on to score another 2 goals to win by 3 goals to 1.The winning goals came from McLaren with 2 and the other came from Cook. Smith for St Combs, the home side ended with 10 men after Kyle McCauley was sent off.
Group 3 In a Group 3 match New Pitsligo travelled to face Ardallie who are in their first season in the NESFA league and in a closely fought match the home side edged the game by scoring the only goal of the match which was scored by Sam Aitken to make it 2 wins out of 2 for Ardallie.
New Pitsligo faced Cuminestown and the home side collect their first points in group 3 with a 4 goals to 1 win. Scorers for Pitsligo were James Cassie and Michael Fraser both netting 2 goals each and for the visitors was Gary Massie. The home side ended the match with 10 men after Jamie Wilson was sent off.
Methlick had home advantage over Faithlie United in a group game and it ended in a 5 goals to 2 for the away side making them the first team through to the quarter finals. Scorers for the winning side were Daniel Red with a brace and one each from Martin Buchan, Roy Noble and Andrew Whyte and replying for the home side was James Gracey and Stuart Anderson.

In a Buchan derby Buchanhaven Fc faced local side Panasonic in a group 4 game and it was the away side that emerged winners scoring 4 goals without reply. The winning goals came from David Gourlay and Jake Leslie both netting a brace each.
SoccerWorld Scotland Division 2-Ardallie faced Peterhead United in their first league game of the season and the home side kept up their fine start to the season scoring 8 goals without reply. The goals came from Glen Sangster, Sam Aitken both netting 2 each and the others came from Ross Forrester, Jack Wright, Grant Elrick and Davie Ingram.
Deejays Nightclub League Division 1-Mintlaw Fc played hosts to Balmoor in both their first league games and the points were shared at the end with the match finishing 3 all. Scorers for Mintlaw were Stuart Park with 2 and one from Craig Reid and for the away side was Paul Rhynd with a brace and one from Marc Walker.
22.04.14 Gordon Leask Memorial Cup Group 1 Mintlaw FC faced Mormond Thistle in a Group 1 Cup match and the home side keep up their 100% record making it 3 wins in a row after scoring 4 goals without reply. The winning goals came from Sean Jamieson with a brace and the others from Darren Steele and Bruce Munro.
In another Group 1 game Bellslea entertained Elizabethan Link Up and the home side took the lead with a volley into the roof of the net by Farquhar from a Tait corner. The away keeper had a fine save from a shot by Rollo. Farquhar then doubled the home side lead on the half hour. The home keeper then had a brilliant tip over the bar from a Guild shot. Liam Rollo scored a third for Bellslea to round of the scoring.
Mormond Thistle faced Elizabethan Link Up in their final games of the Gordon Leask Cup Group 1 and the visitors went one up through Jordan Third then the home side scored twice through Jake Sherwood and Calum Brown to lead 2-1 half time. Into the second half and Craig Whylie drew the away side level then super sub John McKinnon came on to score 2 goals to give the away side the points.
Group 2 St Combs faced Balmoor in a Group 2 game and in a high scoring game the visitors came out winners by 5 goals to 2. Balmoor scorers were Jordan Fraser, AJ Buchan, Michael Waddell, Paul Rhynd and Craig Good and for the home side was.
Rosehearty Thistle AFC faced Invercairn and it was the home side that won by 4 goals to 2. Rosehearty scorers were McLaren with a brace and one each from Tomlinson and Sim and for the visitors was Jonathon Alexander and Martin Anderson. The home side had to play the match with 10 men after Scott Sim was sent off after 30 minutes.
Balmoor had home advantage over New Deer in another group game and it was the away side that created 3 great opportunities to go ahead but the closest they came to scoring was when Crighton hit the post. The home side took the lead against the run of play with a goal from Alexander Buchan. Just before half time John Wedderburn added a second for Balmoor. The visitors started the second half the same as they did the first but couldn’t convert any of their chances. Balmoor defended well and were a danger on the break but there were no more goals and the home side keep their good start to the season going.
Group 3 Ardallie travelled to face Cuminestown in a group 3 match and it ended with the visitors getting their third win in a row winning by the odd goal in five. Scorers for Ardallie were Grant Elrick, Glen Sangster and Sam Aitken and for the home side was Murray Smith with a brace.
New Pitsligo faced Clinton Thistle in a Group 3 game which the home side needed to win and the first half was a close affair with both sides cancelling each other out. Home keeper Lee Simpson had a brilliant save low to his right. Just before half time the visitors took the lead from a Milne free kick Falconer rose high to head home. In the second half the visitors had a few more clear chances to score but had to wait until the 75 minute when substitute Darren Batty converted. The home side pushed forward but the Clinton defence was proving hard to break down.
Peterhead United had New Pitsligo as visitors in a group game and the match ended with the away side winning comfortably scoring 8 goals without reply. Scorers were Owen Davidson and Per Stewart with a brace each and one each from Darren Lawson, James Cassie, David Innes and Morven Wood.

In another Division 1 match Faithlie United faced Longside Thistle and the home side took the lead early on with a goal from Jason Bain but the home side hit back through Martin Buchan. It stayed that way until the second half where Faithlie added a further 2 goals from Andrew Whyte and Fraser Anderson to win all 3 points.
Methlick faced Longside Thistle in a league game and it was the away side that collect all 3 league points with a fine win by 6 goals to 2. Scorers for Longside were Phillip Robertson with a brace and one each from Luke Stephen, Liam Davidson, Jason Bain and Craig Murphy and replying for the home side was Craig Troup with both goals.
Bellslea faced Faithlie United and the home side raced to a 3 goal lead at half time with goals from William Calder with a brace and one from Lewis Tait. Faithlie pulled 2 goals back through Roy Noble and Martin Buchan but couldn’t find a third. Bellslea ended the match with 10 men after Bruis Cowe was sent off.
St Combs faced last year’s champions Clinton Thistle in a league game and took the lead with a Ryan Dunbar penalty on 298 minutes. Clinton hit back to go in 3-1 ahead at half time. St Combs pulled a goal back through John Smith but Clinton went on to score another 4 in the last 20 minutes. St Comb’s keeper Gordon saved a penalty from Scott Milne. St Combs ended the match with 10 men after Kyle McKay was sent off.
SoccerWorld Scotland Division 2-New Deer faced Peterhead United in their first league game of the season and the home side took the lead with a headed goal from the evergreen Willie Robbie. Scot Milne added a second before Gary Thomson added a third before half time. The same player scored a fourth before Nick Shewan scored a fifth. The visitors got a consolation goal from a free kick which was taken by Ewan McLeman.
Buchanhaven Fc had home advantage over Ardallie who have started the season in fine form and it was the away side that ran out winners by 3 goals to 1. Scorers for the away side were Sam Aitken who grabbed a double and the other came from Grant Elrick and for the home side was Alexander Davidson.
Highland Cup Pre Lims
Rothes faced Invercairn in a prelim game and after 90 minutes it was all square with each side scoring once, the home side went on to score 2 more goals in extra time to win the tie but Invercairn came away feeling they had the chance to win but failed to convert them.
In another pre lim game Mintlaw Fc travelled to face Moray side Ugie Youths and it was a successful trip with the away side winning by 4 goals to 1. Scorers for Mintlaw were Shuan Jamieson with another brace and Euan Little and Jamie Park with the others.
Gordon Leask Memorial Cup Group 1 Longside Thistle entertained the unbeaton Mintlaw Fc in the last group 1 match and it was the home side that won all 3 points by the odd goal in 3. Scorers for Longside Thistle were Dale McQuaig and Liam Davidson and for the away side was Nicol Davidson.
Group 2-Balmoor faced Invercairn in a group 2 game and the home side were looking to retain their impressive start to the season but this one ended in a goalless draw with neither team getting on the score sheet.
In the other group game New Deer faced Rosehearty Thistle with the home side needing to win by 2 goals to go through to the Quarter Finals. 5 minutes into the game and Scott Milne gave the home side the lead when he lobbed the keeper. On 18 minutes the same player doubled the home sides lead. Anderson came close to pulling a goal back but his shot was cleared off the line. Glascoe then made an outstanding save from a Norris header. Thomson then made it 3 nil and it needed an excellent save by Coyle to prevent the home side going further ahead. Crighton then hit the post before Duncan made it 4 nil and the same player scored a fifth. The visitors pulled 2 late goals back through Norris and McLaren but it wasn't enough.
The league would like to wish Mark Beagrie a speedy recovery after he went off injured with a deflated lung after coming on as a half time substitute.
Group 3 -Clinton Thistle were home against Peterhead United in a Group 3 game it was a comfortable win for the home side after they netted 9 times without reply. Scorers were Scott Falconer with 5, a hatrick from Jamie Martin and the other one from Darren Batty.
Ardallie faced Clinton Thistle in the final group match and it was the away team that took the lead on 20 minutes with a neat finish by Falconer, a cross from Reid found Batty whose header found the net to double the visitors lead, Ardallie were unlucky not to pull a goal back but the ball came back off the post, Falconer added a third before he got his hatrick and then a solo goal from Alan Reid ended the scoring.
Deejays Nightclub League Division 1
Methlick faced Faithlie United in a league match and the away side proved too strong for Methlick running out winners by scoring 5 goals without reply. Dale Allan netted twice and one each from Lee Lawrence, Gary Clark and Daniel Reid.
St Combs entertained Peterhead side Panasonic and with the away side winning by 2 goals to 1, the match was abandoned due to fog. The fixture will now have to be replayed.
In the other Division one game New Pitsligo were leading Bellslea by 1 goal when this match was abandoned due to serious injury to Liam Farquhar. This one also will be replayed.
Bellslea faced Balmoor in a league match and the home side took the lead in 5 minutes through Liam Rollo, the same player doubled the Bellslea lead after 15 minutes with a headed goal. Calder missed a great chance to increase their lead but fired wide. Balmoor pulled a goal back just on half time when a mistake let in Marc Walker who finished well. The second half started a bit scrappy with both teams cancelling each other out. With 5 minutes remaining the home side struck a third to give Rollo his hatrick.
Longside Thistle entertained St Combs in another league match and it ended with a win for the away side by 4 goals to 2. St Comb’s scorers were Mark Fraser who netted a brace and one a piece from Joseph Dollman and David Buchan and replying for the home side was Craig Murphy and Liam Davidson.
New Pitsligo faced Faithlie United in another league 1 game and this one ended with a win for the home side by 3 goals to 1. Scorers for Pitsligo were Darren Lawson who scored straight from a corner, Luke Reekie and James Cassie and for the away side was Lee Lawrence.

Ardallie had home advantage over Elizabethan Link Up and the home side keep up their impressive start to the season making it 3 wins in a row in the league after they scored 4 times with reply. Scorers for Ardallie were Scott Bartlett, Jack Wright, Ross Ingram and an own goal.
The other Division 2 game was between Cuminestown and Buchanhaven FC and this was expected to be a close affair and it was proved right when the match ended with the teams sharing 4 goals to earn a point a piece. Scorers for the home side were Shaun Mitchell with a terrific shot from 20 yards and a header from Gary Massie and for the away side was Paul Taylor and Matthew Kendall.
Peterhead United faced Mormond Thistle in a league game and it was the visitors that get their first 3 points of the season scoring three goals without reply. Scorers for Mormond were Robbie Wilkinson with a brace and the other came from Alan Anderson.
Invercairn entertained Buchanhaven FC in a league game and it was the home side that took all 3 points after winning by 7 goals to 2. Scorers for the home side were Michael Lumsden with a brace and one each from Martin Anderson, Liam Reid, Peter Garden, Ross Davidson and Sean Cowie and for the visitors was Wayne Simpson and Ryan Carle.
In a League 2 game Rosehearty Thistle netted another 3 points after a 4 goals to 2 win over Cuminestown. Scorers for the home side was a hatrick from McLaren and one from Neil Holland and for the visitors was Gary Massie and James Williamson. The away side had a penalty awarded buy Whitecross missed it.
In another league 2 game it was a 7 goal thriller between Elizabethan Link Up and New Deer, The away side took the lead through Scott Milne but the home side drew level when John MacKinnon, The visitors then scored 3 more goals with Scott Milne who scored his second and Gary Thomson and Damie Duncan but the home side hit back through McKinnon and Whylie but couldn’t find an equaliser.
05.05.14 Cuminestown Cup Prelim-Ardallie faced Buchanhaven Fc for a place in the last 8 and it was a goalless first half but the home side stepped up in the second half scoring 3 goals without reply. Scorers for Ardallie were Grant Elrick, Jamie Ingram and Jamie McNeill.
06.05.14 Brucklay Cup Prelim-New Deer faced rivals Rosehearty Thistle for a place in the last 8. This was a 9 goal thriller with both sides intent to go for goals but it ended with the away side winning by 5 goals to 4. The winning goals came from McLaren who netted a brace and one each from Anderson, Holland and Robertson and replying for the home side were Crighton with a hatrick and one from Pirie/
Q/Final-Mormond Thistle faced Cuminestown and this one ended with a win for the home side who went on to score 4 goals without conceding. Scorers for Mormond were I Allan, D Allan, Wilkinson and Rennie.
In another Q/Final game was between Elizabethan Link Up and Invercairn and it was the home side that took the lead with a 20 yard screamer from Whylie, Lumsden levelled the score at 1 all before Cassie put the home side in front again, West scored for Invercairn taking the tie into extra time. Whylie put the home side in front only for Garden to score and take the tie into pens. The home side won by 4 pens to 2, successful pens were scored by Whylie, McKinnon, McLemman and Buchan.
Soccerworld Cup Prelim-Balmoor faced Panasonic in a derby game with a place in the last 8 up for grabs and it was the away side that progress to the next round by scoring 3 goals without reply. Scorers were Ryan Duncan, James Watson and Alan Brown.
Another prelim game was between Bellslea and Mintlaw and the home keeper Bain was in action making a fine save on 5 minutes. Both teams were cancelling each other until 2 minutes before half time when Jonathon Garden opened the scoring for the home side. The same player struck a second just after half time controlling a through ball by Allan on edge of the box and firing into bottom corner of the net. Garden got his hatrick with 10 minutes to end the scoring.
Quarter Final-In a Quarter Final game New Pitsligo faced rivals Clinton Thistle and it was the away side that progress to the Semi Final scoring 4 goals without reply. Scorers were Scott Falconer with a brace, and one each from Darren Batty and Sean Ross.
09.05.14 Deejays Nightclub League Division 1
Bellslea entertained Methlick in a league game and it ended with the home side making it 3 wins out of 3 in the league scoring three goals without reply. Scorers for Bellslea were Jonathon Garden, Liam Rollo and a William Calder Penalty.
In another league 1 game Faithlie United faced Balmoor and it was the visitors who had the first chance when Walker was played in on goal and was taken down for a penalty and was very lucky to escape with only a yellow card. Walker converted the pen to give Balmoor the lead. Martin Buchan drew the home side level before Don Allan put then in front from the penalty spot. Just on half time a 20 yard strike from Lee Lawrence found the bottom corner of the net. Into the second half and Andrew Whyte made it 4-1 before a Lee Lawrence strike from distance found the top corner of the net to complete the scoring.
New Pitsligo faced St Combs in another league 1 game and the home side make it 2 wins in a row in the league winning by scoring 3 goals without reply. Scorers for Pitsligo were James Cassie, a Murray Reid Penalty and the other from Michael Fraser.
In the last league 1 game Longside Thistle faced Panasonic and this one ended with the away side winning by 4 goals to 2. Scorers for Panasonic were Ryan Duncan, Mark Simpson, Shaun Cunningham and Jake Leslie and for the home side was Wayne Buchan and Liam Davidson.
10.05.14 Clinton Thistle entertained Mintlaw Fc in a league match and it ended with another fine win for the home side who have started this season as they ended last year winning by scoring 3 goals without reply. Scorers were Jamie Martin, Willie Noble and Stuart Fowlie.
Soccerworld Scotland Division 2 Peterhead United faced local side Buchanhaven in a derby match and the home side raced into a 3 goals to 1 lead at half time but Buchanhaven made a brilliant fight back scoring 3 times to win by 4 goals to 3. Scorers for the away side was Paul Taylor, Ben Hastie, Ryan Carle and Matthew Kendall and for the home side was Simon Gemmell, Aaron Smith and Ewan McLeman.
Cuminestown faced Invercairn in a league 2 match and this was expected to be a close affair and was proved right with the away side winning by the odd goal in five. Scorers for Invercairn were and for the home side was James Williamson.
Mormond Thistle entertained neighbours New Deer in a derby league match but it was the away side that took all 3 points scoring 2 goals without reply, scorers of both goals were Scott Milne.
In another league 2 game Elizabethan Link Up faced Rosehearty Thistle and the away side took the lead then McKinnon missed a penalty before the visitors doubled their lead, Wylie pulled ma goal back before poor defending let in Rosehearty in again to score. Into the second half and McKinnon and Whylie levelled the score at 3 all but more poor defending let the away side score another 2 goals and win all 3 points.

12.05.14 Gordon Leask Memorial Cup Quarter Finals
Balmoor faced Panasonic in a derby match for a place I the Semi Final up for grabs. Walker came close when a dipping shot from 30 yards came back off the woodwork. Leslie for Panasonic came close to opening the scoring but Samuel in the home goal made a brilliant save to end the game goalless at half time. Simpson made 2 fine stops from Walker and from a Mair header which he pushed onto the bar and away. Balmooor were awarded a penalty but Walker fired well wide of the goals. Walker then made amendments when a free kick was floated in Walker nipped in front of Simpson to head home. AJ Buchan added a second after a clash with Simpson and Cordiner, the ball broke to him 20 yards out, he slotted home. The home side completed the win when Walker crossed to the back post where Cordiner headed home to take Balmoor into the Semi Final.
Bellslea entertained Ardallie in another Quarter final game and it was the home side took the lead on 10 minutes when Calder converted a penalty, Sinclair doubled the home sides lead before half time. Four minutes into the second half and Garden made it 3 nil for Bellslea to take them into the Semi Final.
In the third Quarter Final it was a 9 goal thriller between Faithlie United and New Deer, the home side led 1 nil then goals by Lewis Neil, Barry Crighton and James Broadie gave the visitors a 3-1 lead but the home side made a late, late comeback scoring on 89 mins and 92 mins to take the game into extra time. The home side struck twice to lead 5-3 but New Deer pulled one back with a pen from George Heatherwick Jnr but it wasn’t enough. Faithlie scorers were Martin Buchan who netted a hatrick and the others came from Daniel Reid and Chris Grieve.
The last Quarter Final was between Clinton Thistle and Mintlaw Fc who faced each other at the weekend. It was the away side that came close to opening the scoring with a dipping shot from 25 yards by Munro hitting the woodwork. Slater had 2 chances with headers but none the away keeper dealt with them both. Darren Batty had the best chance when he was clear in on goal but the away keeper made a fine save. Mintlaw took the lead on 38 minutes when a poor kick out by Summers was blocked by Martin Smith who fired into the empty net. Just before half time Whyte had a chance to get the home side level but couldn’t get his shot past the keeper. Davidson had the chance to double the Mintlaw lead but scuffed his shot wide from inside the box. With 13 minutes remaining a through ball by Munro was latched onto by Davidson who fired home at the second attempt. Jamieson came close to scoring a third but his shot came back off the post.
13.05.14 Deejays Nightclub League Division 1
New Pitsligo faced Longside Thistle in a league 1 game and it ended with both teams earning a point each in a 2 all in draw. Scorers for Pitsligo was Darren Lawson and James Cassie and for the away side was Liam Davidson and Dale McQuaig.
St Combs faced Methlick in a league game and it was the home side that collects 3 points when they won by 4 goals to 1. Scorers for the home side were John Smith with a brace, Daniel Simpson with 1 and Mark Fraser with a 30 yard free kick into the top corner of the net. Replying for the visitors was James Gracey. The home side had Rory Campbell off injured on 17 minutes with a suspected dislocate Shoulder.
Balmoor had home advantage over Longside Thistle and this was another home win for Balmoor winning by 4 goals to 1. Scorers for the home side were Marc Walker with a fine hatrick and the other from Paul Rhynd and for the away side was Dale McQuaig.
Panasonic faced Faithlie United in another league 1 game and the home side had a goal disallowed for a foul. Garden for the away side hit the bar on 34 minutes, Home striker Duncan had a shot cleared off the line. On 48 mins Whyte was one on one with Buchan in the home goal but Buchan made a fine save. Ion 55 mins a Porter cross to the back post where Jake Leslie headed across the keeper into the net. Dale Allan saw his header cleared off the line by Panasonic defender. On 69 min a corner was swung in and after a scramble and Roy Noble poked the ball home to earn a point each.
Two of the league favourites met at Sandhaven today when Clinton Thistle faced Bellslea and it was the current league champions that gained an early advantage after they won by 3 goals to 1. Mormond Thistle faced Invercairn in a league match and this one ended all square at 2 goals each to earn both sides a point each. Scorers for the home side were Bryan Kelly and John Thomson and for the visitors were Charles West and Jonny Alexander. The visitors ended the game with 10 men after Lewis Cruickshank was sent off.

New Deer had home advantage over Buchanhaven FC and it ended in a comfortable win for the home side after they won by six goals to one. Scorers for New Deer were and replying for the away side was Ryan Carle.
Brucklay Cup Q/Final-Buchanhaven Fc faced Peterhead United for a place in the Semi Final. This was expected to be a close affair. The home side led 2 nil at half time with goals from Kendall and McIntosh, United hit back when Grant forced in a brace to put the tie into extra time. United took the lead for the first time when a McLeman cross was headed I by United manager Arthur. The home side hit back and took the tie into a penalty shootout when Munro scored. It was united that won the shootout with winning pens from McLeman, Grant, McAlpine and Smith.
Highland Cup 2nd Rd-Elizabethan Link Up faced local side Bellslea and the away side went in front then the home side scored twice through goals from Graeme McLeman with a shot from 30 yards and Keith Nicol with a header from a corner. The visitors hit back to go in at half time level at 2 goals apiece. Craig and Keith missed chances before Bellslea struck twice to lead 4-2, Whylie pulled a goal back with 5 minutes remaining but that was the last of the scoring and Bellslea go through to the last 16. Scorers for the away side were Daryl Allan with a hatrick and one from Arron Gall.

Faithlie United travelled to face Lossie Youths in another round 2 game and the away side had an easy passage through to the next round winning by 8 goals to 1. Faithlie scorers were Roy Noble and Lee Lawrence both netted a brace each and one each from Matty Garden, Gary Clark, Daniel Reid and Andrew Whyte.
Holders New Pitsligo faced Moray team Aberlour and this one ended with the home side winning by 6 goals to 1, the goals came from Scott Michie then James Cassie, Murray Reid headed in number 3 before half time. Raymond Taylor made it 4 before Owen Davidson headed the fifth then A Raymond Taylor converted a penalty to end the scoring.
Deejays Nightclub League Division 1- Balmoor faced league leaders Clinton Thistle in a league match and it ended with each team earning a point each when the match ended with each side scoring a goal apiece. Scoring for the home side was AJ Buchan and replying for the away side was Willie Noble.
Bellslea entertained Longside Thistle and it wan goalless at half time. Bellslea had centre half Stuart Stephen in goals who played well, Longside keeper had 3 excellent saves in the first half, Bellslea took the lead on 65 minutes when Sinclair played Gall down the line who played it to the back post for Calder to finish. Longside keeper had another 2 fine saves before the visitors drew level after 85 minutes with a goal from Ironside. Bellslea pushed forward and got the winner from Gall who fired in from the edge of the box into the top corner of the net to win all 3 points.
Panasonic faced local rivals Balmoor in a league game and it was goalless at half time after Balmoor keeper Mark Alexander saved a Ryan Duncan Penalty. The away side hit back to draw level with a converted penalty from Craig Whylie. The visitors took the lead with a 30 yard screamer from Graeme McLeman and held on to go through to the Semis.
Soccerworld Cup Quarter Final St Combs faced Methlick for a place in the last four and after a goalless first half Mark Fraser gave the home side the lead on 49 minutes when he fired in a free kick. On 65 minutes Tait ran in from the left and finished well past the keeper. With 3 minutes remaining young Colin Hendry fired in the third from the edge of the box. In the last minute shot from Geddes was parried by the away keeper and Hendry tapped in after just coming on as a substitute.

It stayed that way until 60 minutes when the home side drew level. Panasonic pulled one back before half time with a converted penalty by Alan Brown. Both side had chances in the second half before Faithlie’s Lee Lawrence added a fourth right at the end to book their place in the Semis.
The other Quarter Final was between Bellslea and Longside Thistle and it was a close affair and was decided by a single goal from the home side to book their place in the Semi Final.

The second half belonged to the away side with some good passing moves which led to goals by Garden with his second then Rollo. Got his second and Sinclair and Guild completed the scoring for a fine 6-1 win.

In a high scoring game Methlick faced Mintlaw FC and playing their first home game at Methlick this year ended in a win for the home side by 6 goals to 3. Faithlie United faced New Pitsligo and it ended with the home side inflicting a second defeat in a row for Pitsligo after the home side won by 3 goals to 1. Scorers for Faithlie were Jonathon Reid, Martin Buchan and Roy Noble and replying for the away side was Neil Christie.
SoccerWorld Scotland league 2 Buchanhaven FC faced local rivals Peterhead United and it was the a wayside that took the lead after a mix up between the home defence and keeper let in Ewan Mcleman to open the scoring. Closest the home side came was when a shot came back off the bar. Into the second half and the home side were awarded a penalty and in the aftermath of this Michael Ure of Peterhead was red carded. The pen was converted by Mark Munro. Both sides were searching for the winner and Peterhead came closest when they hit the post then near the end the home side snatched the winner with goal from Andrew Robertson.
In a top of the table clash Ardallie faced Rosehearty Thistle and the away side raced to a 2 goal lead at half time but the home side hit back to level at 2 each, the away side then went in front again before The home side had Ingram sent off. They then added a fourth before Ardallie had Reid sent off and the visitors added a fifth before the end. The winning goals came from a fine hat rock by McLaren and a brace from Holland and replying for the home side was Wild and Reid.
In another league 2 game it was between Invercairn and recent Cup winners Mormond Thistle and it ended with the home side gathering all 3 points winning by 4 goals to 2. Seaforth Shield Semi Final Elizabethan Link Up faced Cuminestown for a place in the final up for grabs and the away side took the lead with a goal from Ryan Morrison but the home side hit back through Graeme McLeman to level the game the Craig Whylie gave the home side the lead before half time. Into the second half and Ian Milne extended the home side's lead before Daryn Bruce pulled one back for Town, the away side pushed forward looking to level the game but the home side managed to hold on to book a place in the Final.
The second Semi Final was between Rosehearty Thistle and New Deer and the home side raced into a 2 goal lead through goals from David Anderson and Kris Adams. The home side were then reduced to 10 men after Youngson was shown the red card. The home side keeper Coyle pulled off 5 great saves to preserve their lead. The away side did get one goal back through Willie Robbie from close range. Young Moir sealed the home side’s place in the final with a fine run and he then chipped the keeper. Rosehearty now face Elizabethan Link Up in the Final on Friday 27 June 7pm.
SoccerWorld Cup Semi Final Faithlie United played hosts to Clinton Thistle looking to book a place in the Final but this was always going to be a tight affair and it ended with the away side Clinton winning by 2 goals to 1. The winning goals came from Simon Whyte and Gary Paterson and for the home side was Martin Buchan.
The second Semi Final was between Bellslea and St Combs and it ended with a win for the visitors after they scored 3 goals without reply. St Combs scorers were Peter Bruce, Craig Bruce with a shot from 30 yards and Joe Dolman with a bullet of a header. They now go on to face Clinton Thistle in the Final.

Methlick faced recent cup winners Balmoor in a league 1 game and it was the away side that went on to win by the odd goal in five. Scorers for the away side was Michael Waddell with a brace, one of which was from the penalty spot and one from Mark Walker and for the home side was Sam French and Grant Taylor.
Longside Thistle faced Clinton Thistle and this one ended in a comfortable win for the league leaders by scoring 6 goals without reply. Scorers for Clinton were Scott Falconer with a brace and one each from Bob Buchan, Alan Reid, Darren Barbour and Jamie Martin.
Balmoor hosted neighbours Panasonic in a league game and it was the away team that took the lead on 13 mins with a goal from Daniel Booth, on 29 min Balmoor were reduced to 10 me after Michael Waddell was sent off. A min later the home side earned a pen but Paul Rhynd hit the post. Ryan Duncan added a brace, the latter a fine first time strike before half time then James Watson added a fourth, Danny Booth fired in no 5 from 20 yards and Shaun Cunningham with the sixth with a clever header back across the keeper to complete the scoring.
Clinton Thistle faced St Combs in another league game and the home side took the lead in the first min with a goal from Buchan, A Batty header made it 2 nil on 20 mins and the same player made it 3 nil just before half time. Ross made it 4 when a Smith shot came back off the bar and a Martin deflected goal completed the scoring.

New Deer faced Buchanhaven Fc in a league game and the home side took a 3 goal lead into the interval through goals by Willie Robbie, Damie Duncan and Graham Pirie, the visitors did pull one goal back in the second period through Mark Munro but New Deer take all 3 points.
Peterhead United faced Cuminestown in another league 2 game and it was the home side that went on to claim their first league win of the season winning by 4 goals to 1. The winning goals were scored by Stuart Grant with 2 and Jamie Nicholson and Simon Gemmell with one each and for the away side was Ryan Morrison.
Last league 2 game was between Mormond Thistle and Ardallie and it was the away side that took the lead with a goal by Jamie McNeil. The visitor’s keeper Simpson had four very good saves to keep the game goalless before the visitors took the lead with a goal from Gavin Brown. Back came Balmoor and a free kick by Walker was palmed out and Ross Mair reacted the quickest to level the game. It stayed that way until the hour mark when a cross was deflected to the back post where Paul Donaldson fired into the roof of the net to end the scoring.
Deejays Nightclub League Mintlaw Fc faced Methlick in a league game and it was Little for the home side that came closest to opening the score but saw his shot come back off the post. Just after the half hour mark the home side won a penalty and Euan Little converted. Into the second half and an Anderson header brought out a good save by Thomson. On 70 mins Euan Little doubled the home side‘s lead with his second of the match. Grant Finnie fired in a bullet from 20 yards to reduce the deficit to one but Bruce Munro got a third for the home side with 7 minutes remaining to earn all 3 points. The away goals were scored by William Calder with 2, his second a cracking volley, Arron Gall with a volley from corner of the box, Jonathon Garden 1, Daryl Allan 2, one which was a fierce strike from 30 yards which found the top corner of the net and for the home side was Neil Buchan, Scot McSeveney and David Fraser.

Soccerworld Scotland League-Peterhead United faced Invercairn and it was the visitors that went in front against the run of play with a goal from Martin Anderson. Two minutes later it was all square after Ewan McLeman scored for the home side. On 23 minutes the home side took the lead with a brilliant shot from 30 yards from Paul Cluiet which ended up in the top corner of the net. On 28 Minutes the away side levelled the game when a cut back by West found Liam Reid unmarked to tap in to an empty net. Peterhead United faced local rivals Buchanhaven and it was the away side that took the lead on 30 minutes with a neat lob by Paul Taylor. It only took the home side 10 minutes to draw level with a goal from Ewan McLeman. Just before half time the away side took the lead again when they were awarded a penalty which was converted by Paul Taylor. A minute into the second half and McLeman drew the home side level once more. Gary Buchan hit a fierce drive from 35 yards which came crashing back of the bar for the home side. The away side manager Taylor then got his hatrick to give them a lead but United levelled once more with a goal from Ryan Grant. This put the tie to a penalty shootout which Buchanhaven won 3-2.
In another first round game saw two of the top 3 teams in the league meet when Clinton Thistle had New Pitsligo as visitors. These two teams always have close games and this one was no different after the match ended 1 all. Scorer for Clinton Thistle was Peter Humpheries and for the away side was Olly Black. Mormond Thistle were facing Elizabethan Link Up knowing that a win would qualify them for the Semi Finals. The away side took the lead against the run of play with a brilliant free kick from 20 Yards by Graeme McLeman. Two minutes later it was all square when Liam Allan did the same with his free kick finding the net. On 55 minutes Mormond manager brought on Sherwood and he put the home side ahead with his first touch with a fine finish. Another substitute for the home side with JakeRaymond Taylor and Scott Michie and for the home side was Ryan Urquhart and Sean Park. Ritchie coming on and he was played through on goal and made no mistake with his finish. The visitors ended the match with 9 men after they had 2 sent off.

Bellslea faced high flying Faithlie United for a place in the Final. It was the away side that took the lead, Bellslea levelled the score after 25 minutes, and it stayed that way until half time. Both side created chances at the start of the second half with Faithlie keeper pulling off 3 fine saves. He match turned after Arron Gall was sent off on 55 minutes for the home side. Faithlie went on to score another 4 times. Faithlie scorers were Roy Noble and Martin Buchan 2 a piece and one from Lee Lawrence.

In another Q/Final game Cuminestown faced Clinton Thistle and this one finished with the away side scoring six goals without reply. Clinton Thistle scorers were David Batty and Peter Humpheries both netting a brace each and the others came from Allan Reid and John James Sim.
Ardallie Cup Final
This was between Ardallie and Invercairn and it was the home side that made a brilliant start with a goal inside the first minute with a cute lob from the left of the box by Grant Elrick. A few minutes late and it was 2 nil to the home side with a goal from Man of the match Scott Bartlet. The same player added a third before half time. Into the second half and Jack Wright notched a fourth goal before Ross Ingram added the fifth at the second attempt after the Invercairn keeper blocked the first attempt. This was a game that Ardallie dominated the whole first half, Invercairn played a little better in the second half but there only ever looked like one winner which was Ardallie.

Panasonic drew another one of the NESFA League teams New Pitsligo in the prelim of the Scottish cup and this one was always going to be a close affair. It ended all square with each team netting once. Scorer for the home side was David Gourley who was later sent off and for the away side was Neil Christie. In a penalty shootout Pitsligo won with pens from Lawson, Innes and Christie.

In another prelim game Elizabethan Link Up lot out to a team from the Forth Valley league by 5 goals to one .Scorer for the home side was John MacKinnon.
